Mental Health Care That Treats All of You

We're not your typical psychiatry practice. At Maison Cura, we combine behavioral health and internal medicine—because your mind and body aren't separate.

Why We Exist

Here's what's broken about mental health care in America:

You wait six months for an appointment. When you finally get in, you have 10 minutes with someone who barely looks up from their laptop. They ask a few surface-level questions, prescribe an SSRI, and send you on your way.

Three months later, nothing's better. So they switch your medication. Then switch it again. Then add another one.

  • Nobody asks about your sleep.
  • Your hormones.
  • Your gut health.
  • Whether you've had trauma.
  • How your blood pressure might be fueling your anxiety.

At Maison Cura in New Smyrna Beach, we built something different. Our team combines psychiatric expertise with internal medicine training. That means when you walk in with anxiety, we're not just looking at your brain—we're looking at your thyroid, your cortisol levels, your blood sugar, your hormones. Because here's the truth most providers won't tell you: Mental health and physical health aren't separate.

Your gut produces 90% of your serotonin. Hormone imbalances trigger depression. High blood pressure causes anxiety. Inflammation affects your mood. And if nobody's connecting these dots, you'll keep suffering.

We connect the dots.

Four principles guide
everything we do

Our care is guided by four core principles designed to treat the whole person with thoughtfulness and precision.

Integrated Behavioral Health

Your Mind and Body Are Treated Together

Mental and physical health are closely connected, so our care looks at both.
We consider hormones, medications, cardiovascular health, sleep, and metabolic factors alongside emotional well-being. If anxiety or depression has a medical contributor, we address it as part of your treatment—not as an afterthought. That’s what integrated behavioral health means: whole-person care.

Trauma-Informed Care

Care That Respects Your Story

Trauma can shape how the brain and nervous system respond to stress.
Our approach is trauma-informed, meaning care is paced, respectful, and grounded in safety.

When appropriate, we combine medical treatment with therapy referrals so healing can happen on multiple levels.

Patients are never rushed or judged—only supported.

Real Time, Real Conversations

Unrushed, Human Care

We take time to listen. Appointments are designed to be thorough and collaborative, not transactional. We explain what’s happening in clear language and involve you in decisions about your care. Because good care starts with being heard.

Evidence-Based & Personalized

Modern Medicine, Tailored to You

We use evidence-based treatments while recognizing that no two patients are the same.

Your biology, history, and goals guide your plan. When needed, we explore advanced options like TMS, Spravato, or hormone optimization. Care is adjusted over time so it continues to fit you.

Meet Our Team

Kelli Bridgman

Clinical Director, Integrated Behavioral Health Services

Kelli began her career working night shifts at a state mental hospital while attending nursing school by day. Over the past 18 years, she’s worked in oncology, helped open the South’s first integrated medical-psychiatric unit, conducted ECT clearances for a major clinic, and trained at Emory, the CDC, and the Mayo Clinic. That breadth of experience showed her one thing: many mental health struggles have overlooked medical contributors.

Her strength is connecting the dots—identifying gut issues, hormone imbalances, PCOS, or post-COVID effects when others miss them. Patients value her clear, human approach: no jargon, no scripts, just honest conversations about what’s happening and how to fix it. She often works with people who feel out of options and helps them find a new path forward.

Myrna Leondike

Practice Manager

Myrna is the heartbeat of Maison Cura—the warm face who greets you, the calm voice on the phone, and the person who helps you feel at ease from the very first contact.

In an industry where front desks can feel robotic, Myrna stands out. Patients consistently praise her warmth, professionalism, and ability to make them feel heard—even before seeing a provider.

She expertly handles scheduling, insurance, and paperwork, guiding you through the details that can make healthcare frustrating. More importantly, she makes sure you feel like you matter.

If you’re nervous about your first appointment or need help navigating insurance, Myrna is there. Maison Cura wouldn’t be the same without her—and patients love her for good reason.

Veronica Rucci

Lead Insurance Verification Specialist

Insurance shouldn’t be a nightmare—but it often is. Veronica makes sure it’s not.

As our Lead Insurance Verification Specialist, she checks your coverage twice—when you book and before you arrive—so there are no surprises or unexpected bills. She works directly with insurers to maximize your benefits, secure pre-authorizations for treatments like Spravato or TMS, and handle the paperwork for you.

Have questions about coverage, costs, denials, or appeals? Veronica is your advocate, fighting to make sure you get the benefits you deserve. She makes the insurance part as painless as possible.
